The GMC Hummer EV EarthCruiser Upfit Has Just Been Unveiled

Overland Expo Mountain West is this weekend (August 25-27) in Loveland, Colorado, and if you intend on going, there are some exciting things to see there. The 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon AEV Level II will be on display, and now GMC has just announced that the highly anticipated Hummer EV EarthCruiser Upfit will also be on display. That means that EarthCruiser has finished the build and removed the tarp.

The EarthCruiser upfit sets a new standard in zero-tailpipe emission overlanding possibilities through its complete integration onto the Hummer EV Pickup chassis. Offering the perfect blend of state-of-the-art technology, innovation, and comfort to explore on or off-road. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, the GMC Hummer EV EarthCruiser upfit by EarthCruiser boasts technological and design innovations to help ensure a premium consumer experience, including:

To be clear, it doesn’t appear that the solar power system for the GMC Hummer EV Overlander will be able to power the electric pickup. So, while you could theoretically stay off the grid for seven days, stopping at EV charging stations will still be necessary. That said, if this does seem like something you’re interested in, the GMC Hummer EV EarthCruiser upfit is expected to be available to GMC Hummer EV Pickup owners in 2024 through EarthCruiser. Additional product availability details will be released later this year. Unfortunately, the EarthCruiser upfit is not covered by the GM New Vehicle Limited Warranty, and GM is not responsible for independent-supplier alterations. Zac's love for cars started at a young age, after seeing the popular Eleanor from Gone In 60 Seconds. From there, fascination and enthusiasm blossomed and to this day the Ford Mustang remains a favorite. His first job started out detailing cars, but also provided the opportunity to work on restoration including an 1968 Ford Mustang, Ford Firebird, and a C3 Corvette, though he left that job before further work and experience could be had. From there, he was a detailer at a car dealership before quitting that job to try and finish college.
